CARDIGAN WELLBEING HUB - CARDIGAN SWIMMING POOL AND FITNESS CENTRE
The aim of the Cardigan Wellbeing Hub feasibility project is to look at the potential to work with various partners to create a self-sufficient, environmentally friendly, leading edge and 100% accessible Wellbeing Hub.
The wellbeing hub would provide Cardigan and South Ceredigion with facilities to support individuals from all backgrounds, ages and abilities to live fulfilling, independent and active lives. To support their physical and mental health, improving their wellbeing through promoting healthy behaviours and enabling them to take responsibility for their own well-being.
The feasibility study will consider:
- Strategic context and outcomes – health /well-being /early years learning, sustainability/more efficient and resilient future /expanding the Tourist season.
- Need, demand and market assessment - What is in place and existing gaps in provision. Avoiding the duplicating or displacing of existing services.
- Options for delivery - Pros and cons for each (including existing options). The feasibility study will include an options appraisal in stage 1, which will help inform the best way forward.
Following the establishment of the performance, design and planning brief, the feasibility study will then deliver an estimated development cost that can be used to determine the potential for third party funding, including grant aid.
