REGENERATING CEREDIGION'S RURAL TOWNS

The Cynnal y Cardi Local Action Group (LAG) have supported a new Rural Towns Development Officer to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of regeneration activity to support the recovery of Ceredigion’s rural towns to create thriving, people-centred, and resilient towns.

The towns are Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, Cardigan, Lampeter, Llandysul, Tregaron and outlying communities.

Regenerating Ceredigion's Rural Towns will use a collaborative approach to achieve these priorities whilst working with the local community, businesses and agencies to facilitate their coordination.

Following on from previous engagement, the process shall commence with both officers engaging with town representatives to develop proposals and priorities ideas. One of the key priorities for Cynnal y Cardi is to support and develop capacity and resilience within Ceredigion’s rural towns.

It has a ‘bottom up’ approach to rural development i.e. that local people participate in the priorities to be pursued in their local area.

Projects which shall be supported through this Development shall be available to view here in due course.

What can Regenerating Ceredigion's Rural Towns support?

Support can be provided for the following:

Project Development

Pilot Projects

Feasibility Studies

Facilitation

Training

Mentoring
