YOUTH SERVICE MOBILE PROVISION

The aim of the Youth Service Mobile Provision feasibility project, by Ceredigion County Council’s Learning Services, is to investigate whether a mobile youth provision would be a viable option to provide opportunities for hard-to-reach and disengaged young people living in Ceredigion who are rurally isolated and have poor access to services; and in turn, supporting communities to come together and empowering young people through positive experiences that will improve their personal, social and educational development.

The study will aim to investigate what nature of activities would be most effective in engaging with young people who are disadvantaged, who are or are at risk of becoming Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) and may have wider socio-economic issues affecting their personal development and wellbeing.

The study will aim to capture a wide range of views, predominantly from young people, but also from other community members such as elderly groups, disability groups, local businesses, charities and children in order to attain a wide representation from those communities on the impact this proposed project idea may have on local young people. The study will aim to engage and consult with both statutory and voluntary youth organisations across Ceredigion.
